The American
Express®
Gift Cheque
History of the
Travelers Cheque
In 1891 Marcellas Berry an
employee of American Express invented the Travelers Cheque.
American Express set the standard for Travelers Cheques and Gift
Cheques. Below is a reproduction of the first Travelers Cheque
issued in 1891.

Acceptance of the
American Express Gift Cheque?
The cheques are accepted
everywhere. The check can even be deposited or cashed at a bank.
The gold Gift Cheques never expire. You can keep several handy
for those last minute employee or sales awards. While gift cards are limited to
the store that issued it and general American Express Gift Cards can be used at
select stores or only where American Express is accepted these cheques are good
everywhere! All MasterCard, Visa and Discover Gift cards come with an expiration
date, these never expire. Many companies pre-purchase 100's of these gifts to
have on hand for quick "above and beyond" rewards. Although these cant be
inscribed, many companies will hand these gift cheques out with a formal "thank
you" letter. If you maintain a list of Gift Cheque codes on file you can always
request to replace a lost or stolen certificate. Overall this is the best Gift
Cheque product on the market.

The cheques come in denominations
of $25 American Express Gift Cheque, $50 American Express Gift Cheque and $100
American Express Gift Cheque.
The fee per cheque is $6. This includes shipping.
