The LM-1 Degausser uses a conveyor belt system that provides rapid, continuous erasure with a throughput of up to 1,300 magnetic tapes or hard disk drives per hour. Simply turn it on and place the media on the moving belt. The tape or hard disk drive (HDD) is pulled inside the degausser where it passes a shielded permanent magnet that completely sanitizes the media and drops it into your bin for recycling or disposal. Complete hard drive erasure is guaranteed. ERASURE:
Independent scientific testing confirms this degausser erases Longitudinal Magnetic Recorded (LMR) and Perpendicular Magnetic Recorded (PMR) hard disk media with a coercivity of 5000 Oersteds and tape media with a coercivity of 3000 Oersteds.*
